Call duck

Anas platyrhynchos

Call ducks were first developed and are still used as a decoy duck. Call ducks are energetic, active and vocal ducks with a loud high-pitched call. They were first used to lure wild ducks into a trap or to bring the wild ducks closer to a hunter. Today, call ducks have become very popular as exhibition ducks. In fact, the call ducks win more championships in shows than any other breed of duck. Visit the call ducks at the pond in the New England Farmyard.
