Get ‘Em Exploring Early
Connecticut’s Beardsley Zoo’s popular summer program, Zoo Patrol, offers an exciting and unique experience for children. Each day, participants explore a different area of the Zoo through custom-guided activities, spending time outdoors learning about animals, enrichment, and veterinary care through engaging staff presentations. The program also emphasizes learning through play, with Zoo-themed games and art activities that introduce skills like scientific observation, tracking, and artifact identification.
Special Program Add-On
Add an Animal Adoption Box to your Zoo Patrol Experience! Adoption boxes are a great way for your child to feel connected to the Zoo, even after their week of fun and exploration comes to an end. Boxes will be distributed every Friday, at the end of that day's Zoo Patrol session. Boxes can be added on during registration.
Each adoption box includes:
- Three mini stuffed animals
- Adoption Certificate
- Animal Fact Card
- Animal Bookmark
- A "Proud to be Saving Species" Sticker
- 4 Pack of Crayons
