Natal Lily (Clivia miniata) is native to South Africa and Swaziland. This clump-forming plant has stocky rhizomes, long bright green strappy leaves, and strong flower stems topped with heads of large funnel-shaped flowers in shades of yellow, orange, and red. Red berries appear after flowering.

Habitat

Natal Lilies thrive in shaded or semi-shaded areas with well-draining soil.

Family Life

Plants generally take about three years to flower. Mature plants bloom from December to April, and flowers are long-lasting, making them excellent for cut arrangements.
