Lucky Stripes

Lucky Stripes (Aechmea gamosepala), also known as the matchstick bromeliad, is native to Argentina and Brazil. Its thick purplish-pink bracts with iridescent bluish-purple tips resemble a row of matchsticks along the flower spike, which remains rosy pink long after blooming. Leaves are rich green with yellow-to-white margins.
