Peruvian Torch Cactus

The Peruvian Torch Cactus (Echinopsis peruviana) is native to South America. This genus of cacti includes large columnar species as well as smaller, day-flowering cacti previously classified as Lobivia. While the large columnar varieties are too big for indoor cultivation, the smaller species are popular indoors and in gardens. These cacti feature sharp spines and intensely colorful flowers, with hybridization producing a range of vibrant colors.
